Crossword #k2: Meadow's Second
To the Princess of Grandpa’s Heart
This puzzle was created for Meadow’s seventh birthday. She spent her special day in California celebrating with her Great-grandparents Bachman, great aunt and uncles, and a host of the teeming ranks of a growing family. Later, she visited the Northern California coast with her brother Haaken, her parents, and her aunt Tammy.
(The California State Park—once known as “Patrick’s Point”[1] is now known as “Sue-Meg"—is a favorite of her mom and aunt. It holds many special memories for her Grampy-the-Gramp as well.)

Notes
- On the indigenous Yurok people’s “Sue-Meg” name see the park’s Wikipedia page, which links (in a footnote) to the sad story of the unworthy namesake of the park’s long-time designation. [^]
- “Gnastic” is Haaken’s word (meaning, roughly, “gnarly.” Word on the street has it that a mysterious “G-the-G” has a gnastic, animal-themed crossword in the works for Haaken, the walking animal encyclopedia. [^]
