What are these “Lifebird” posts, you ask? IF I view them, what should I expect?

♦ Each is a short account describing when, where, and with whom I first saw a species of bird—or birds—and added it to my “life list” (which reached #556 in 2014).

♦ Post dates reflect sighting dates, except for sightings that occurred before Bachblog fledged in 2008. These earlier sightings are filed on January 2, 2008.

♦ All accompanying photographs are mine unless otherwise indicated.

♦ Posts are periodically updated with shiny new photos and/or what are alleged to be interesting facts and anecdotes.

♦ I may never get around to finishing this, but I’ll give it the old college try.
