Crossword #20: Saints We'd Like to See
Well, it’s here again: that lull between the end of the Lynx season (one week ago they won their fourth title in seven years) and the Timberwolves season (they are widely expected this year to have their first winning record since the 2004/05 season!). The Twins lost a one-game playoff to the Yankees—who else?—and the Vikings, well, they haven’t won since Sven Forkbeard lambasted Aethelred the Unready in 1013. What to do, what to do?
It’s too early for ice fishing, but my new crossword puzzle, the mysteriously titled “Saints We’d Like to See,” is available. It will fill in nicely for now and, as a bonus, it will serve admirably when combined with heat and oxygen under a pile of kindling when the Minnesota weather takes a turn sometime in the next few weeks.[1]
Have faith, the puzzle will be a blessing to you at this difficult time.

Notes
- Bonus not recommended for use with the electronic puz file version. [^]
- The Across Lite program can be downloaded for free at Litsoft.com and runs on Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X. I can recommend it unreservedly. It is easy to install and use, and is free of any of the malware garbage that commonly plagues freeware. [^]
